Software Programmer Analyst
Position Type: Contract
Term: 2-3 months (extension potential)

Overview:
Sys-X is looking for a results-oriented software Programmer Analyst to join a valued client’s team temporarily. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the development, deployment and support of custom developed or integrated software. Accountable to the client side Project Manager, the candidate will have an opportunity to be involved with the entire software development cycle. The role requires excellent communication skills, client service ability, heightened analytical skills and a desire to learn. The candidate must work well within a team environment as well as independently to achieve project goals.
Must Have Skills:
· C# .NET, Visual Studio .NET
· ASP .NET
· SQL Server
Asset Skills:
· ADO .NET, IIS/ASP .NET Deployment
· Java, Java Script, C/C++
· MCP (any certificate)
· Graphics
Other Technical Skills:
University Degree or College Diploma in related field is an asset. Minimum four years of software development experience. Analysis, architecture and design experience a valuable asset, as is automated and manual testing.
· Proficiency with development languages (Java, C/C++ or Visual Basic)
· Knowledge of relational databases, ER models and data models (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or IBM DB2)
· Knowledge of Windows (NT/2000/XP) Operating System; experience with other OS (Unix/Linux, SUN, AIX) an asset
· Knowledge with one or more of: .NET CLR, IBM WebSphere & WSAD, BEA WebLogic, Visual Age for Java, CASE Tools, Apache Tomcat, XML, Crystal Reports, Portals (CA, Hummingbird, etc.), Lotus Notes, AS/400 (Cobol or RPG), SUN/Solaris.
