GENERAL FUNCTION:
As a resident, qualified “Black belt” in Six Sigma, resource this role will provide Project Management Leadership and Facilitation expertise to support major strategic projects for BD Canada. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting Key Process Development and Continuous Improvement initiatives across functions and businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES:
1.Provide training on Project Management skills to identified Associates
2.Provide “Six Sigma”/Lean Methodology expertise to diverse Project Teams as assigned
3.Provide Project Management support to identified projects

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for providing a comprehensive package of Value Added Services and ongoing technical support to the BD PAS network of distributors and end-users. This position acts as the centralized link between customer, distributors and the BD PAS business.
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES:
General Technical/Training Support
·Provide telephone technical consultation to end-user customers, distributors, field sales and internal personnel regarding product specifications, “best-practice” techniques and available substitutions pertaining to BD PAS products
·Resolve questions or problems by researching topics and consulting with BD PAS clinical resources. Provide telephone follow-up and written documentation when required.
·Provide technical product training for customers and sales specialists. This may include on-site customer training, laboratory support visits, and scheduled workshops
·Maintain and update competitive/technical information files and reference manuals as required
·Maintain relationships with WW clinical group and counterparts
Customer Problem-Solving and Inquires
·Document all product incident reports (PIR) from customers, distributors, and internal or field personnel according to BD PAS Quality Procedures Guidelines
·Follow-up with appropriate QA, QC and R&D departments to ensure complaint resolution
·Monitor PIR’s for trending and alert Quality & Regulatory for possible recalls, participate in recall process
·Document and communicate completed PIR follow-up information to the customer to ensure complete customer satisfaction
·Return defective product received from customers to the appropriate quality control department for investigation
·Authorize replacement of product/credit to customers and coordinate activities related to obtaining credit through supply chain for defective products
Sales Support
·Attend sales meetings and work conventions
·Act as a liaison between the BD Canada sales organization, the end-user customer, the distributor network, and BD PAS Business to resolve technical issues and customer problems
·Provide feedback to Marketing as to customer needs and market trends
EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
§ MLT designation and/or University degree in related field
§ Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience desirable
§ Minimum 2 years customer Interfacing experience
§ Bilingual; Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French
§ PC skills in a Windows software environment

·Communicate with sales, marketing, technical services, and shipping with regards to customer needs
·Process and invoice orders, allocate products, and adjust inventory levels
·Approve and process credits, returns, discounts, and special orders
·Resolve product complaints and recommend appropriate solutions
·Fulfill literature and product information requests
·Represent BD Biosciences at trade shows and table-top presentations
EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
·1-2 years customer service experience required
·University degree in the biological sciences preferred
·English/French bilingualism required

·Strong organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and computer skills (Macintosh experience an asset)
