C# Software Developer
Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Overview:
TouchPoint Solutions, Inc. is renowned for it's device management
software platform, upon which TouchPoint's development team builds,
deploys and maintains both custom and commercial applications.
Developers work with new, emerging technologies that involve
substantial software and hardware integration.
As a member of the software development team, the Software Developer
will be on the leading edge of software programming, developing and
deploying unique technology solutions, helping keep TouchPoint at the
forefront of our industry.
Responsibilities & duties
As a member of the software development team, the Software Developer
will be given the responsibilities of implementing the software
components of a product deployment. These responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain product documentation, new feature requests,
etc.
- Provide guidance on software implementation using development
patterns
- Follow up and maintain project related activities
Qualifications & skills:
The ideal candidate must have strong experience (5 years or more)
developing object-oriented software with Microsoft tools. Experience
with C# is extremely important. The Software Developer must have
strong time management skills and must be familiar with software
development methodologies and SDLC.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science studies, or a
related field is required.
Assets & experience:
Preference will be given to candidates familiar with the full
lifecycle of commercial software development and who have a strong
technical background. Programming experience, IT/networking
experience, XML experience, and familiarity with multiple operating
systems are all assets. The ideal candidate also has effective verbal
and written communication skills, is self-motivated, works well
independently, and has strong time management and technical skills.
