Technical Skills
Advanced client side web development skills include:
HTML
CSS
XHTML
client side javascript
flash (not required - a nice to have)
Understanding of web technology
http, https, cookies, session management
understanding of browser compatibility issues
knowledge of asp, php, jsp or servlet technology (not required - a nice to have)
Tools
ability to use photoshop to procss images for placement within html web pages
ability to create dreamweaver templates and generate html pages derived from print and other sources
experience with imageready adn fireworks an asset
experience with content management system an asset
job description
your primary role will be convert website design specifications and images into web pages and content rich emails. This would include the process of interpreting graphic designers and creative briefs and the subsequent creation of site maps web wireframes and webpages. Gneration of these webpages would likely require that you convert and/or size images and incorporate text copy. You will need to add the appropriate client side elements (such as css and javascript) to support the look-feel, funcionality and navigation of the site. Typically the website generation process will require that you interface with clients, creative and developers to ensure tha the website will work ans expected.
As part of any project you will consult on the browser capability and rendering to ensure tha proposals and development will work on specified platforms. you will also sonsult on web UI, usability and best practices.

Education
college degree or equivalent (preferably web development/design)
any technical accreditations an asset
Qualities
