Regional Operations Support, Human Services I&IT Cluster, System Testing Services has a challenging opportunity for a Project Leader experienced in performance and automated testing. You will develop testing strategies for formal systems testing; determine appropriate testing techniques; and ensure consistent comprehensive coverage across all platforms. You will facilitate the execution of the Ministry's strategic IT plans; provide project leadership and technical direction to team members.

LOCATION: 4 Cataraqui Street, Kingston

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and proven experience in: information technology; performance and automated testing of complex applications; project management practices; planning practices. Knowledge of current and emerging concepts and technologies for performance and automated testing. Strong project leader skills. Excellent proven on-line and batch testing skills; proven oral and written communication skills.

You will design testing specifications, create automated test scripts, analyze test data requirements, conduct mainframe batch, online and client/server testing, develop complete testing documentation and maintain the regression test databases for mission and business critical applications in the provincial healthcare system.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in information technology, IBM mainframe online, batch and client/server testing. Knowledge of testing methodology, relational databases, experience with query tools (SQL), and automated testing tools (Rational Team Test). Excellent knowledge of IBM JCL, ISPF, IBM Utilities. Effective oral and written communication skills.

The successful candidates will analyze complex business systems, prepare test plans and cases; scripts for automated and performance testing or manage/administer testing servers and test environment, participate in system design reviews, lead teams through system test life cycle, execute mainframe online/batch tests, schedule/monitor activities, establish/maintain techniques, standards, documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS: Significant experience in information technology. Thorough knowledge of testing methodology. Regional Operations Support, Human Services I&IT Cluster, System Testing Services, seeks individuals with substantive experience in system testing and planning for major mission critical projects. The applicant will, working with counterparts in Kingston, control system testing of various projects in Toronto; review/maintain project plans, ensure quality control, manage staff; provide system testing expertise, recommend specific testing strategies, methods and tools, advise in automation of test processess, management of testbeds.

LOCATION: 5700 Yonge, Toronto

QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge and strong skills in system testing, test automation and technical testing processes. Excellent project management skills, experience managing multi-vendor, multi-client projects. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and manage work of professional staff. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to establish effective working relationships.
