Business group overview: Intel's Information Technology (IT) group designs and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. In addition, IT is responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and storage and delivery of Web content and services.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be part of the IT Global Infrastructure organization and will be reporting to the Wide Area Network (WAN) Implementation Manager. This team is responsible for project management and implementation of Intel's Wide Area Network, and will work closely with WAN Transport, Network Planning, Internet Connectivity Engineering and Corporate Security groups to support the customer base.
Qualifications
You must possess the relevant qualification with an in-depth understanding and five years of experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) Implementation. Strong Project Management skills are required. Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to lead teams with project deliverables and timelines
- Ability to develop comprehensive project plans with accurate cost estimates
- Ability to formulate realistic project scheduling and apply effective techniques for reviewing project's progress
- Working knowledge of data circuit components (T1, Fractional T1, E1 and T3), Framing, Line-Coding and Synchronization are required
- Good exposure in dealing with telecommunication vendors, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and long distance, domestic and international inter-exchange carriers
- Proficiency in wiring connectors such as RJ48*, Amphenol*, Smart-Jack* and wiring interface protocols, V.35*, RJ45* and others are needed
- Ability to use data circuit test equipment (Fireberd*) and troubleshooting Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) and Data Circuit Terminating Equipment (DCE) are integral part of the job
- Understanding of TCP*/IP* Networking, Frame Relay*, ISDN* and ATM* are highly desirable
