Join the busy, team-oriented environment at the Legislative Information Systems branch of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. You will apply your effective communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and customer-service skills to solve problems quickly and under pressure, while providing support to users in order to minimize interruptions in computer services.
Reporting to the Manager, Client Services, you will: provide support by answering incoming phone calls, diagnosing and resolving client problems or referring problems and providing feedback to clients; document all requests for assistance; follow-up with service vendors; troubleshoot equipment problems; assist clients with procedures on specific equipment; maintain resource center inventory; perform administrative functions.
Qualifications: Technical degree or equivalent experience; good working knowledge of various software products, operating systems and the inter-relationship of on-line applications; advance knowledge of MS Professional Suite 2000 including Outlook; advanced knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows XP including profiles, file sharing and system utilities; knowledge of VPN and Citrix Terminal Server technologies desirable; ability to work under pressure in a confidential and tactful manner while exercising strong communication, listening and telephone skills; ability to multitask and set priorities.
