Sale systems to the hospitality industry. Due to our record
growth, we have an immediate need for a full-time Field Service
Technician based at our Mississauga, Ontario head office. This
position is responsible for supporting Point of Sale systems
including hardware software maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- providing hardware and software support for point of sale
systems
- providing expert assistance to customers via telephone and
modem
- point of contact for product inquiries
- repair to electronics and pc components
- providing on-site installation services
- attending to customer support requests
- providing training sessions to small groups
Requirements:
- Possess a diploma in Information Technology, Electronics
Technology, or equivalent experience
- Must have experience working with electronics and pc
components
- Must have A+ certification
- Experience working as part of a technical support team
- Hands on experience in a networked Point of Sale environment
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows
networking, Windows XP, Windows 2000, DOS, TCP/IP
communications, and network topologies
- Experience in maintaining Cat-5 network cabling, installing
boards and memory into systems
- Knowledge of video security systems an asset
- Posses excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent problem solving techniques and analytical
capabilities
- Organized and self motivated
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and thrive in an ever
changing environment
- Must posses a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work rotating “on-call” shifts (evenings &
weekends)
- Preference will be given to bilingual (English/French)
candidates
