Description: The Ministry of Transportation's geomatics section seeks a motivated individual to prepare and review engineering and legal survey plans (including digital terrain models (DTMs), control networks, alignments) and geographic information systems (GIS) products (including themes/maps) for the planning, design, construction and operation of transportation facilities.
Qualifications: working/recent experience in producing engineering/legal survey plans, maps, DTMs, GIS, related software (AutoCAD, AutoDesk Land Desktop, ESRI products, Word, Excel); knowledge of related legislation, regulations, standards (PT & HI/Surveys/Surveyors/Land Titles/ Registry acts); skill in researching, analysing, evaluating survey, GIS data/products; proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively; interpersonal skills to establish/maintain effective working relationships; organized with ability to adapt to new technological changes. Less qualified applicants may be considered on an underfill basis.
