Hello:
I am a principal with a small US West Coast based design practice with a
hospitality specialization to include hotel + resort, food and beverage,
club and retail project work.
We anticipate a significant increase in project work by late summer 2005 and
are seeking to add an intermediate level (approximately 5 years work
experience) lighting designer to our staff for urban + resort mixed use
projects. Hospitality projects benefit from a theatrical approach to
lighting.
The position would require relocation to Portland and would likely involve
future travel to Seattle and Vancouver BC locations. Our firm is affiliated
with an architecture and planning firm that has offices in these locations.
Experience with landscape lighting a plus.
The ideal candidate will be trained as an interior designer/architect and
have a 2nd degree or a minor in lighting design with direct experience in
the lighting field.
We would expect that the appropriate candidate would either have or be
willing to take the IESNA Certificate of Technical Knowledge and/or obtain
NCQLP Certification. Minimum of Bachelors Degree required for this position.
LEED Certification another plus.
Interested parties should forward a resume, work samples and references to:
