* Proven track record of multiple on-line commercial applications built and deployed
* In-depth knowledge of Java Web Application Architecture and its components
* In-depth knowledge of JDK, J2EE, JSP and Tomcat
* Knowledge of Java application development across multiple platforms, including Solaris, Linux and MS Windows
* Experience writing custom tags
* Excellent verbal and written skills

Successful candidates will also be proficient in many of the following technologies:

* Messaging & Messaging-Related Protocols (HTTP, XML, SMTP)
* Directory Servers (LDAP)
* Software Design (architecture, design patterns, object-oriented analysis and programming, UML)
* Unit test and build scripting technologies, such as JUnit, Cactus and Ant
* Version control technologies (CVS)
* IMAP, SMTP, MMS, and SMS technologies
* Other Java application servers such as BEA WebLogic and JBoss
