Job Title: Electro/mechanical Technician - PLC Machines
Job Description:
Required by Axalto Canada Ltd., Burlington ON. As a contributing member
of a three-person production team troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and
operate PLC Personalization machines. Participate in process
improvement, problem solving and team meetings with team mates,
engineers, managers, customers and vendors. Learn Lean Manufacturing
high performance skills while taking a leadership role in areas of your
expertise.
Must be totally committed to continuous improvement and team culture.
Have at least a two-year technical diploma at the Community College
level with at least 3 years experience maintaining electro/mechanical
equipment, including pneumatic and electronic controls repair. Prior
experience with PLC equipment and/or team based work environment is a
big plus.
Must have mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, and be able to
work without close supervision. Ability to read and understand
mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics is essential. Must have
working knowledge of PC Operating Systems and Windows software
applications. Must exhibit good troubleshooting/analytical skills, and
able to work primarily in a standing position. Must be able to pass high
security background check including credit, criminal, driving record and
employment/educational history verification.
