Job Description
As an Intermediate Java Develeper in the investment world you are excited to provide full life cycle development solutions to meet business objectives. Contribute considerable amount of business and/or technical knowledge to complex projects.
•Under general direction of a project leader or supervisor completes high quality, well designed and implemented systems.
•Develops personal plan and the task detail appropriate for completion of all work assignments.
•Participate in the full life cycle of projects including requirements gathering, design, coding, implementation and testing.
•Maintain currency in technological trends and directions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Financial services, banking or investment industry experience a must coupled with a relevant Computer Science or Engineering degree.•A minimum 3 years programming experience with Java/J2EE and related technologies in an object oriented environment.
•Good knowledge of J2EE, Web Services, Application Servers, relational databases and object-relational mapping.
•Ability to work well in an agile project team.
•A sound knowledge of object oriented analysis, design, and development.
•Strong report writing skills.•Smalltalk programming experience, would be is an asset.
