The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 5 years experience programming in .Net (VB/C#)
A minimum of 5 years experience programming with ASP.Net Web applications
A minimum of 3 years experience programming T-SQL Stored Procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of object oriented programming
Demonstrated knowledge of ASP.Net MVC
Knowledge of, and exposure to, IT application development in an insurance or financial environment;
Knowledge of the CMHC business environment will be an asset;

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

8+ years experience in progressively responsible positions in IT;
5+ years experience in the development and maintenance of .NET (VB/C#) applications;
5+ years experience in the development of ASP.NET applications, including HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, XML, Ajax.
3+ years experience writing complex SQL to access MS SQL Server Databases;
3+ years experience coding T-SQL stored procedures to access MS SQL Server Databases;
3+ Object oriented programming experience
Demonstrated experience using ASP.Net MVC
Knowledge of application development lifecycle methodology
Knowledge of application architecture, patterns & code design
Experience preparing technical documentation
Demonstrated analytical and technical skills
Experience working in a team environment
Written and verbal communication skills

Assets:

Experience with Team Foundation Server
Written and verbal communication skills in both official languages
Professional application developer certification
Advanced education in computer science / programming.
Knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Library
Use of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (or more recent).
Experience developing (WCF) Web Services
Experience with Silverlight development
Experience with configuring IIS and Web Farms
