Senior .NET SharePoint Developer
Role/Level: Programmer/Developer, Level 3, 10+ years experience
Duration: 29 work days
Location: Downtown Toronto, Ministry of Finance
Start Date: early June 2012
Scope of Services and Deliverables
1. Prepare test plans, test scripts and test data as required
2. Perform/support unit, system, acceptance and performance testing
3. Support implementation of system releases
4. Investigate and resolve system problems
5. Develop solutions to support communications and collaborations between different sites/site collections
6. Provide post-implementation support
7. Follow established SDLC and project management methodologies
8. Provide expertise, knowledge transfer and mentorship to team members
9. Other application development related tasks as deemed relevant by the Project Manager.
The Consultant will be required to:
1. Complete work as assigned
2. Provide progress/status information to CSDB and Client Leadership
3. Comply with Client security procedures and practices
4. Comply with Client Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality guidelines
5. Provide skills / knowledge transfer to appropriate Client staff.
Mandatory Skills Requirements
The Consultant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the following skills,
activities, or areas. The knowledge and experience must have been gained through work on a project(s)
similar in size and scope to this project. The following skills are mandatory:
1. At least 5 years demonstrated experience using SharePoint2007 and 3 years experience with
2. SharePoint2010
3. Knowledge of service management concepts including implementation, operations, change
4. management, and incident management within a SharePoint2010 environment
5. Demonstrated experience implementing SharePoint2010 in both sandbox and farm level
6. environments
7. Demonstrated experience using Web Services
8. Demonstrated experience with SharePoint infopath forms and workflow management
9. Demonstrated experience using the SharePoint2010 Records Center
10. Experience developing web applications using ASP, .NET, Javascript, and HTML.
11. The Consultant must be available to start work in accordance with the specified time frame and have the skills to produce the services requested as detailed within this document.
12. The Consultant must have excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with people having excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Desirable Skills Requirements:
Knowledge and experience in the following are highly desirable and are being sought in the Consultant:
1. Experience with upgrade planning and execution for migration from SharePoint2003/2007 to 2010
2. Ability to work in a complex, interactive programming environment
3. Competent with VBScript, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS and XML
4. MS SQL Server database support, administration, design and optimization
5. Familiarity with AODA standards and compliance
6. Experience in structured methodologies for systems design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications.
Current Technology Environment
The Client's current development environment is as follows:
Client PC-based:
- IBM PC or compatible hardware and software including Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Word 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Outlook 2003 and Access 2003,SharePoint2010, Visio 2007 and Microsoft Project 2007.
- MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) is implemented and in use
Hosted development environments:
Hyper-V images with SharePoint2010 and Visual Studio 2010 suite
