本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Reporting to the Team Leader of Quality Assurance Testing, the Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will be responsible for supporting the corporate wide quality mandate and will work closely with Engineering. Key responsibilities include project testing activities, including documentation of test cases, review of requirements documentation, review of design documentation, execution of integration and validation test plans, defect reporting and defect management, quality goal setting, internal audits; and recommending process improvements. The QA Specialist will assist the Team Leader of Quality Assurance Testing and all departments responsible for the design, development, manufacture, delivery and support of products to implement and then comply with the ISO 9001 certified Quality System. In particular, the QA Specialist will assist in completing all testing activities during development while maintaining a strict adherence to prescribed testing guidelines and quality control procedures, establishing and executing test procedures.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain test procedures for the areas of functionality in the product(s).
Developing new test procedures for new areas of functionality added to the product(s).
Conduct testing in various phases including integration and validation, logging all defects.
Executing the system test procedures.
Conducting ongoing regression tests of the product.
Ongoing integration testing of the product.
Analyze test results and defect data to identify problematic products.
Maintain test procedures for project release testing.
Maintain test records for project testing.
Automate the testing of the components.
Advise of any ideas for the improvement of the team or processes.
In a timely fashion, report any variances from the target completion date of the tasks, or that the tasks cannot be completed.
Work effectively in collaboration with staff across the organization.
Job Requirements:
Assist in implementing, revising, and providing training and support to other departments on Quality Manual and Procedures as required.
Produce quality reports as required.
Assist in conducting the risk and hazard analysis for all projects as required.
Assist Product and Project Management in developing quality goals for their products/projects.
Through project reviews (post mortems), lessons learned sessions, benchmarking and day to day QA activities, assist in measuring the Quality System Effectiveness.
Other duties as directed by Team Leader of Quality Assurance Testing or Senior Management.
Relationships:
The position reports directly to: Team Leader of Quality Assurance Testing Internally, this person must work closely with Project Team Leaders, members of the project teams, and with other members of the QA department. This person must promote positive and effective working relationships. Externally, this person works with outside groups as required.
Experience Required:
Formal post secondary degree/diploma in computer science, engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
Internal auditing experience is desirable.
Experience working with ISO 9001 quality standard is desirable.
Minimum of 2 years experience in development and execution of test plans in a development environment.
Working experience in a clinical environment is an asset.
Training in quality assurance and auditing.
Experience with all aspects of the development lifecycle.
Thorough understanding of test methodology, including test plans, system and integration level testing, and status reporting.
Sound understanding of Quality Assurance methods.
Ability to plan and execute testing activities and projects.
Familiarity with Microsoft family of products.
Familiarity with defect tracking software packages.
Automated test regression tools experience is desirable (e.g. WinRunner, HiTest, etc.)
Must be willing to learn to possess knowledge and experience in ultrasound software and imaging applications.
