The successful candidate must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin or Cantonese in order to communicate with factories in China.
Role and Responsibilities
? Monitor and purchase raw materials, MRO and machine & equipment in order to meet production requirement
? Negotiate supplier payment terms, credit limit, lead time and put together policies with suppliers
? Inventory control
? Assist in packaging developing by sourcing and translate new ideas into final production
? Review, assess and manage vendor relationships in terms of cost reduction, on-time delivery and quality control
? Assist A/P department to reconcile invoice discrepancies
? Assist R&D in product improvement and standardization
? Involve in ERP system update and streamline procurement processes
? Meet KPIs
Qualifications and Experience
? 2 - 3 years experience in purchasing and procurement
? Industry experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, International Import/Export is an asset
? Must have proficient knowledge of Excel and other standard PC programs with working knowledge of ERP systems
? Strong interpersonal skills
? Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
? Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
? Ability to work in a fast pace environment and can re-set priorities as necessary
Salary range from $37,000 - 40,000 per annum.
