Job Description
The incumbent:
Supports the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Payroll applications through analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance of these systems;
Responds to system change requirements as mandated by collective agreements as well as federal and provincial legislation;
Extracts and compiles information from the database as required by College management for decision making;
Has responsibility for regular processes such as the bi-weekly payroll, annualT4/T4A forms.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a three (3) year diploma/degree in Information Technology – Programming or equivalent education;
Formal training in Legacy programming languages, scripting languages, and database management software (such as Ingres RDBMS, SQL, Ingres ABF);
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Information Technology field;
Previous experience as a project manager or senior systems analyst would be an asset;
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
Understanding of providing excellent customer service;
Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to identify problems, determine possible solutions and select the appropriate actions;
