Role Description
Role Title: SAS Marketing Analyst (Relationship Marketing)
Overview of Position:
The SAS Marketing Analyst is responsible for day-to-day management and production of CM2’s analytical deliverables on marketing/analysis projects.
The primary activities of the Analyst include:
Analyzing and interpreting data to derive marketing insights and business recommendations (using SAS and Tableau)
Designing and developing standard reporting solutions, and business processes to support marketing automation
Contributing to the development of marketing plans, from an analytical perspective
Designing and delivering CM2’s technical solutions for direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns
Key Activities:
Analyze data using SAS (post campaign analysis, campaign pre-planning, or ad hoc analysis unrelated to marketing campaigns)
Summarize marketing campaign results and key learnings in presentation quality (Powerpoint); present insights and recommendations to clients
Contribute to the development of direct-to-consumer marketing plans, based on a thorough understanding of the data, and back-end analysis techniques
Design marketing programs to be measurable: work with the marketing team to define measurable marketing objectives, establish metrics of success, create experimental designs; contribute to marketing strategy development from an analytical perspective.
Translate marketing/business requirements into business rule definitions, technical requirements and business process documentation for execution of the campaign and measurement
Coordinate the activities of programmer analysts for the procurement of data extracts
Define requirements and design standard reports, for automation in Tableau, SAS, or SQL Server
Develop business processes and documentation for automation of marketing activities.
Manage expectations and juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously
Minimum Education and Work Experience:
2-5 years experience with marketing analysis and business requirements definition in a marketing environment. Proficiency with SAS is essential.
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g; applied mathematics, research or statistics) with a business/marketing option
Applied experience with database marketing analysis techniques, data mining, modeling, and the principles of database marketing (e.g; experimental design, test vs. control analysis, sampling methodologies)
Applied experience with data analysis, reporting, and interpretation of results
Experience delivering technical projects and coordinating technical project teams; preparing technical and business process documentation with respect to marketing databases and marketing campaigns
