Position Summary:
Our Financial Services client is looking for a Sr. Application Developer who enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
The candidate must be a natural problem solver with excellent communication skills and solid hands-on C#/ASP.NET experience, PL/SQL is a huge plus. He/She will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting and resolving critical production issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take ownership of troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis and fixing production issues.
Collaborate with production support and development team members to resolve critical and high impact defects according to SLA.
Understand the product and business requirements.
Follow development standards and best practices.
Provide feedback and recommendation to development team to improve the maintainability of the system.
MUST HAVE POSITION CRITERIA:
Minimum 5 years of experience in C#/ASP.NET/WCF using .NET 4 or higher.
Practical experience and solid understanding of design patterns, unit testing framework and writing maintainable code.
Minimum 1 year of experience developing with PL/SQL on Oracle 9i/10g or higher.
Previous experience in a support role is required.
Ability to be on call when required.
Work effectively under pressure with strong time management and multitasking skills, as well as excellent initiative and adaptability.
Excellent analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
