As I mentioned, I’m currently recruiting an Application Designer role for one of our key clients in Waterloo, ON. It is a full-time permanent position at a financial services company providing financial planning, life insurance, health insurance, investments and more. It is truly an international leader in investment management and they are offering a base salary range of 85 – 95K, depending on experience.
The key skills that they are looking for are:
· 5+ years of .Net experience
· 10 years of overall IT experience
· C#
· ASP.Net
· VB.Net / VB6
· Very strong communication skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Application support is likely around 80%
o Remediation from security reviews
o Prioritizing and passing things to others to work on
o Helping to plan for infrastructure upgrades
o Figuring out what needs changing at a high level
· Technical debugging problems
· Planning, coordinating, setting standards, etc.
· Not a lot of hands-on coding
· On call support on rotation
It is my experience that good people know good people.
